Directions and Contact Information

The Berkeley Seismological Laboratory is located on the North side of the UC Berkeley campus. Administrative offices are located on the 3rd floor of McCone Hall in room 307, just south of the North Gate campus entrance at the corner of Euclid and Hearst Avenues.

Parking for seminar speakers and other invited guests

Please ask your host for a parking permit. (Allow up to a week for the permit to arrive by mail.) We are unfortunately not able to provide permits for tour groups at this time.

Lower Hearst (indoor parking structure)
West of Euclid, entrance off of Hearst going west; may have "stacked" parking available. In this situation, you park in the aisles and leave your keys with the valet. (Check with the attendant, if present, when you arrive.) Limited public parking is also available in the yellow spaces on the second level.

Upper Hearst (indoor parking structure)
East of Euclid. Entrances off Hearst going west, Ridge Road, and La Loma Avenue. Has stacked valet parking. May be a better bet than Lower Hearst.

Parking for the public

Parking at UC Berkeley is always difficult. Streets in the vicinity of Euclid and Hearst have 2 hour parking, although metered spaces may be 1 hour. UC Berkeley Parking and Transportation has created a map of public parking on and near campus.
